A paradise in the snow

Together with the French resort of La Rosiere, La Thuile has one of the rare ski areas that straddle two countries. There are 150km of piste on Italian and French slopes. You can ski everywhere, with no borders, using the same ski pass, taking the ski lifts direct from your hotel. The ultramodern ski lifts and the abundant snowfalls make La Thuile a snowy paradise without queues or waiting. For cross-country skiing, there are 4 tracks of varying difficulty and length, with a total of 16km. In the "links" section click on "Ski lifts, Ski passes and prices" for the ski pass prices. For infants there is an equipped play area in the snow near the bottom of the ski lifts. Children who would like to venture on to skis have a free ski lift to take them up the slope, so they needn't get tired out before enjoying their very first descent.
