The Sibari plain is dominated by the intense greenness of this Mediterranean location, by the vineyards and olive groves, and by the intense color of the sea and the luminous white sand. The charm of the natural environment, and the local people with their traditions and warm hospitality, are reminiscent of the elegance and refinement of days gone by. Not far away is the National Park of Pollino: the impressive watershed between Basilicata and Calabria, where the Mediterranean scrub gradually gives way to different fragrances and colors, and to lush stretches of beech trees and maritime pines.
